Lime is an essential ingredient in creating high-quality paper of various thicknesses.

In technical terms, lime products are used in the pulp and paper industry in the recausticizing cycle to recycle sodium hydroxide for use in the pulp digester.

Activated Calcium Carbonates (ACC) is primarily used as a rheological additive in high-performance sealants

ACC is used as filler in adhesives and sealants. However, because of their much smaller sizes they are mainly used as the primary rheological additive in high-performance products. ACC's add reinforcement and make the product stronger.

It goes in food and drinks - from cheese, candy and ice cream to soft drinks, beer, baby milk and food supplements. Lime is an ingredient in baking soda and helps keep fruit and vegetables fresh.

PCC Use

Many medicines and cosmetics contain PCC, as the base material of pills, or for bulking.

PCC's are used as dietary calcium, mostly in liquid products where the very small particle size is valuable. It's used in the production of chemicals such as Calcium Carbide and Cyanimide, Calcium phosphates, Calcium silicates, High alumina cement, Titanium oxide, Citric acid, Magnesium nitrate, Sodium chloride, etc.

Lime products provide a source of calcium, alkali, desiccant, causticizing agent, saponifying agent, bonding agent, flocculant and precipitant, fluxing agent, glass forming agent, degrader of organic matter, lubricant, filler and hydrolyzing agent.

Lime is used for sugar refining worldwide, it acts as a clarifying agent for sugarcane juice in the manufacture of white sugar. It can also be added during the sugarcane washing process to treat wastewater effluents.
